Business photography is no longer just an addition to brand communication — it has become an essential part of it. Today, strong visual content lives across media publications, social media, PR materials, employer branding, and corporate communication channels.
In May, I had the pleasure of working with Public Dialog on a photography project for Żabka, related to the opening of the 11,000th franchise store of the brand.
The project included two intensive shooting days:
- portrait and store photography at Świętojańska 89 in Gdynia – corporate photography
- the Żabka Press Cafe press conference at Mercure Hotel in Gdynia – event photography
- and the official opening of the new store – event photography
The resulting images were used in media publications and brand communication.
Authenticity in the Age of AI-Generated Content
In a time when the internet is increasingly filled with AI-generated visuals, authenticity has become one of the most valuable assets in brand and media communication.
Audiences are becoming faster at recognising synthetic imagery. Companies, journalists, and social media users are actively looking for real stories, real people, and real environments they can trust.
This is why professional business photography still holds significant value — especially in PR and brand communication. Images captured in real working environments build credibility, show organisational culture, and allow brands to communicate in a more natural and trustworthy way.
In projects like this, it is not only about creating visually strong images, but also about producing content that is genuinely useful in communication:
- for media outlets
- for LinkedIn and social media
- for corporate websites
- for employer branding
- and for ongoing marketing activities
One Project, Many Applications
A modern business photoshoot rarely ends with just a few images “for an article”.
Companies today need a consistent visual library that can be used across multiple channels over time. During this project for Żabka, we created a wide range of materials, including:
- portrait photography
- environmental and interior shots of the store
- natural interaction moments
- branding-focused images
- event photography
- and more documentary-style visuals
This type of image library gives marketing and PR teams great flexibility. A single shoot can support media communication, social media content, recruitment materials, and business presentations.
It is also a far more authentic solution than relying on generic stock photography.
Business Photography Under Time Pressure
Commercial photo shoots often take place in fast-paced environments — especially before a store opening or a major public event.
In this case, timing was particularly demanding. The day before the opening is usually one of the busiest moments for the client’s team, filled with operational tasks and final preparations. At the same time, professional imagery needs to be produced and delivered for media and brand communication.
Another important factor is working within PR agency coordination. In such projects, the photographer often meets the people being photographed for the first time directly on set. Trust, comfort, and communication need to be built very quickly.
This is why communication, experience, and the ability to work with people are just as important as technical skills. Good business photography is not only about light and equipment — it is also about atmosphere and the ability to quickly break the ice.
Especially in portrait photography, natural results appear only when the subject feels comfortable despite time pressure and a busy schedule.
Photography for PR, Media, and Modern Brands
More and more companies treat professional photography as part of their communication strategy rather than a one-time addition to an event.
Well-prepared visual content helps brands:
- build credibility
- maintain a consistent image
- improve media communication quality
- stand out through authenticity
- and connect more effectively with online audiences
Working with PR agencies, marketing departments, and communication teams requires flexibility, speed, and a strong understanding of business context.
This is exactly what I enjoy most about this type of work — creating images that not only look good, but actually support real communication goals for brands.
